The day after the Dutch Fashion Awards ceremony, I had the privilege of meeting Conny Groenewegen, this year's big winner! With her innovative ideas and techniques she put knitwear back on the fashion map.
Conny told me that winning the Dutch Fashion Awards 2011 was a fantastic experience and that "fashion is about mentality".
And... that for her it's her life.The knitwear Conny creates, is knitted digitally, giving her the opportunity to search for the edge of the (im)possible. Her main inspiration is alchemy: "where all the molecules together become something".
