Barong Barong for men

One of my favourite fashion jewellery brands, Barong Barong, also features bracelets for men. Tough, yet refined, I think they make the perfect Christmas gift for the men in your life, don't you agree? Maybe a chic version in gold for your dad / husband  / lover... and a trendier one, for example with silver skulls, for your boyfriend / son / cousin. They are designed in The Netherlands and hand made in Indonesia.

Cabana St. Moritz

It's the first time ever I'm writing about a store that I haven't visited in person... (you guys know that I usually only publish about places that I've actually been to)... but sometimes you just have to break the rules! Cabana St. Moritz is the younger sibling of Cabana Capri, a wonderful store that I did visit this summer and fell completely in love with.

The owner, Helen White, is a London-based New Yorker who is a former editor at American Vogue. She has such exquisite taste... I literally want to buy every single item in her shop! Beautiful dinner plates, silver-bamboo cutlery, contemporary glass art, the latest beach bags and cover-ups... you name it, it's there.

The same goes for Cabana St. Moritz (Thank God for social media.... allowing us to see what the Swiss store has to offer): stunning tableware, gorgeous home decor, chic fashion accessories and last but not least... lovely Christmas gifts!
Ps. Santa.... I want those mushroom plates....

Affordable Holiday Gifts

Are you looking for affordable Christmas gifts? Or cute stocking fillers? Look no further! I've done the research for you and found these adorable but inexpensive presents. It's all about hitting the right notes... or in other words... finding something funny, special, comforting and thoughtful. To me it's important that gifts will make the receiver feel good. Let them know you think about them. That doesn't mean you have to buy something expensive. In fact, all gifts shown here are under €10 / $11 and some even under €5 / $5,50!

Fidel Castro's Death

Fidel Castro has died last friday, November 25th... I pray for the Cuban people and I wonder how this will change their future... let's hope for the best! My regular followers will know that I love Cuba, in fact I have been there several times. It's a breathtakingly beautiful country, but every time it breaks my heart to see so many people living in poor conditions, gorgeous historical buildings falling apart...
"Buena Suerte" Cuba!

A Fall Walk

Fall, it's a season I have a love–hate relationship with... I absolutely love the beautiful colours, the falling leaves, the pumpkins, Halloween decorations and pretty mushrooms popping up in the park.... but I hate those grey, rainy days when you practically can't leave the house.

But when the sun is out, the sky is blue and the colours are those of an "Indian Summer"... it's the perfect time to go out for a walk! I put on some warm clothes, grab my camera, or in this case, my cell phone.... and I'm ready to rumble!

These pictures were taken at the estate surrounding Duivenvoorde Castle in Voorschoten, The Netherlands. For more information about Duivenvoorde, please continue here:

Borsalino Fall Winter 2016-17

You guys know I'm a big fan of Borsalino hats. As a hat lover I do think Borsalino makes the Rolls Royce among hats! Just like men's watches, I usually like men's hats better than the women's collections. In fact, I totally fell in love with these gorgeous men's hats for fall /winter 2016-2017.

The colours are so rich...
The ribbons are so chic...
Especially that first fedora, with the large brim in rich blue... wow!
(In case you're interested... it's product code: 212993)

Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween guys! I hope you will have a wonderful and (if you wish) scary evening! I have to be honest, I usually don't celebrate Halloween, but it's a great opportunity to decorate the house & garden. Some orange Champagne won't hurt anyone either ;-)

Ps. While I was writing this post, the doorbell actually rang and there were some Trick-or-Treaters!!

Eudia Fall/Winter Collection 2016-17

Eudia, the Dutch hat brand by milliner Evelien Gentis-Smit, is not only very tempting for women... but also for men! I love the men's hats that Evelien designed for fall/winter 2016-2017! They're traditional but also very cool. The same can be said about the (advertising) campaign that features her brother-in-law as a model. Oh.. and her husband Philip Gentis is the photographer. Talking about a family business!
