Federea Milano, Italy

Federea Milano, a cute little store I came accross by accident during the Milan design week (better known as Salone del Mobile). During the Salone, the whole city is bursting with activities! Especially in Via Tortona, the street where this shop can be found.

Federea Milano sells all kinds of shoes: glitter ballet flats under their own label, striped booties by United Nude, high heels in candy colours, sneakers by Chipie, etc.

And... they sell absolutely adorable jewelry by Ineke Otte. Think plastic insects, pieces of fruit, supersize chains and more.

The funny thing was... the clientele was just as entertaining as the store itself! Next time you're in Milan and you're looking for something out of the ordinary, you should definitely pay Federea a visit!

Givenchy make-up session

Last thursday I participated in a make-up session by Givenchy at The College Hotel in Amsterdam. The make-up session was held in occasion of the Jackie's Best Dressed Awards, where not only the editorial staff, the hostess and the famous guests were made up, but also some lucky Jackie readers.

There were 4 make-up artists, who showed us all the new colours and products. I loved their revolutionary new mascara (Givenchy Phenomen'Eyes Mascara), which has a ball-shaped brush!

The round tip separates the eyelashes really well and lengthens every lash from its root. I have to say, It felt very funny when Sanne applied it to my eyelashes... I couldn't stop laughing.

For the waitresses there was a special colour scheme; the Jackie staff, the celebrities and the guests could choose themselves. Since I was going to wear a green skirt, a cream-coloured shirt and gold jewelry, I opted for green eye shadow with golden highlights.

The make-up artist did an amazing job! Was that really me in the mirror? Thank you Givenchy and Jackie for this wonderful experience! I'll be back at the Givenchy make-up counter for more!

People... Renu Kashyap

At the Jackie's Best Dressed List Party fashion director Renu Kashyap was wearing a dress by upcoming designer Jan Boelo, shoes by Christian Louboutin and a headband by Maison Michel.

The dress is edgy, yet feminine. Her hair, headband and shoes soften up the look a little more.

As the French say "noblesse oblige"... and Renu definitely lives up to expectations!

Last night The Best Dressed List 2011 was revealed by Jackie, the Dutch fashion magazine. What a great excuse to throw an unforgettable party at The College Hotel!

Hostess Nikkie Plessen looked absolutely stunning in Marc Jacobs, H&M and vintage Chanel. So did Jackie's editor-in-chief Eva Hoeke and fashion director Renu Kashyap, who both wore Jan Boelo.

Winner of The Best Dressed Award 2011 was actress and TV hostess Lieke van Lexmond, in vintage McQueen. She dedicated the award to her sister Jetteke, who is also her stylist.

Some famous Dutch ladies made it to the list: Princess Maxima, Doutzen Kroes, Lara Stone, former winner Sylvie van der Vaart as well as Hanna Verboom.

Writer Sophie van der Stap and blogger Andy Torres from Style Scrapbook also made the cut. The full list of winners will be featured in the september issue of Jackie.

The party was sponsored by Givenchy, who did the make-up for Nikkie Plessen, the whole Jackie Staff, the super cool waitresses and... me (I got lucky!!!)

Shorts, mini skirts and mini dresses ruled the evening! After seeing all those amazing looking women and especially all their amazing legs.... I think I'm going to hit the gym a little more often...

It was a true pleasure to see that glamour does exist in The Netherlands; there were so many welldressed guests at the party, I will dedicate another article to them.

Thanks Jackie, Eva, Annemijn, Renu and all the other Jackie ladies for a wonderful evening!
