Moët & Chandon Ice Impérial Party

This week I went to the Moët & Chandon Ice Impérial Party at the Breakers Beach House in Noordwijk. The weather was incredible... sunny, warm and a blue sky! The perfect conditions for a cocktail party on the beach I would say.

Champagne was flowing like there was tomorrow! The hors d'oevres by Breakers Beach House were exquisite... but for those who preferred a lighter (and colder) snack, champagne ice cream was served by two lovely ladies of the IJsboutique! As you can see, I couldn't say no!

If you want to learn more about the Ice Impérial Champagne by Moët & Chandon, please read one of my previous reviews:

Beachclub La Fontelina, Capri, Italy

My first time in Capri I was overwhelmed by the enormous amounts of tourists… especially in the Marina Grande, where all the hydrofoils and ferries arive. No surprise here of course. But even on more remote parts of the island there are loads -and I do mean loads- of poorly dressed day-trippers. Not exactly what you’re dreaming of when you book a trip to Capri.

That is until you take the boat to private beachclub La Fontelina. An oasis of tranquility and fashionable people! We started with a delicious lunch on the terrace, overlooking the small beach, the bay and the famous “Faraglioni” rocks. The view is absolutely stunning! I felt like I was starring in a Dolce & Gabbana commercial.

La Dolce Vita as it was meant to be. Blue sky and turquoise water… pink tablecloths, red tomatoes, green basil and white buffle mozzarella… Exotic cocktails (try their signature white sangria) and mouthwatering salads and pastas…

However, there are no white sandy beaches, as many people might expect. The beach is more like a rock formation. Deck chairs are available as well as sun loungers. The rocks are partially covered with concrete to create a more even (and comfortable) surface. Furthermore, La Fontelina offers changing cabins and showers. (By the way, pack your best bikini / swim trunks and a cover-up for lunch!)

Spending the day at La Fontelina doesn’t come cheap, but it’s an unforgettable experience. Beachclub entrance, including the use of the changing room, shower and chair costs €21, per person, per day. In order to reserve a place on the beach, you need to book a table at the restaurant too. Oh and make sure you bring enough cash to pay for the shuttle boat to Marina Piccola.

The little boat trip was exhilarating! The lunch to die for. I will be back soon.

La Dolce Vita is... fresh flowers!

La Dolce Vita is a bunch of fresh flowers! I love flowers and especially these gorgeous roses from Ecuador. They match my sunglasses, sandals and straw tote quite well, don't you think? A perfect start to a sunny weekend.
