Bed & Breakfast Le Corbù, Umbria, Italy

Bed & Breakfast Le Corbù is a wonderful place close to Perugia in Umbria, Italy. The rooms are decorated in such a stylish way, you'll feel right at home. The garden is absolutely amazing!!! A well-kept lawn, a vegetable garden and.... they even have an owl! Your own pets are welcome too by the way.

Le Corbù is located in the middle of nature, yet very close to the town of Perugia. Perfect if you're visiting the Umbria Jazz festival but don't want to stay near the crowds & the noise. (It's only a 10 minute drive.)

The owners of Le Corbù are not only charming hosts but also great cooks. They can prepare breakfast and other meals upon request. Cocktails in the garden are another delicious option...
As you can see in the pictures, I had a dinner party there... unforgettable.

End of Summer Flowers

My regular readers will be able to tell you... I love flowers! Even the ones that are not typically considered pretty. And even the ones that are almost "dead". They all have something special. Like the ones I found at the end of summer... For them -as the sticker says- the worst has yet to come. But they're beautiful anyway because they're aesthetically interesting! Don't you agree?

Art & Fashion event

Last week I attended the art & fashion event at the Noordeinde in The Hague. As many of you will know, the Noordeinde is the location of the working palace of King Willem Alexander. A "posh" area with beautiful art galleries, fashion stores, restaurants and bars.

The orange carpet was rolled out and boy oh boy... it was a royal event indeed! From circus artists to jazz musicians, from wood-fired pizzas to fresh oysters and Champagne... they had it all! Children were even allowed to paint on the shop window of a well-known art gallery. How's that for involving kids in the Creative Industries?!

Unfortunately I missed out on the fashion shows... but the secret gardens, including beautiful plants and flowers definitely made up for it! Next time you're in The Hague (and staying for example at the Hilton, Park or Paleis Hotel) take a walk through this lovely area.

While you're there... buy a pair of tango shoes at Lisadore:

A great store for (wedding) gifts is Philippona:

To finish in style... Restaurant Pastis is closeby and highly recommended:
