The Saratoga Hotel in Havana is without a doubt the best
place in town. Facing “El Capitolio” (the former seat of the Cuban government
until 1959), cigar factory Partagas and “Parque Central”, you couldn’t ask for
a better location. It’s only a few blocks away from the Cuban Chinatown, the
famous bar El Floridita (where Hemingway had his “daiquiris”) and it’s very
close to Calle Obispo and O’Reilly.
With an old facade but with completely new interiors, the
Saratoga Hotel is a very convenient place to stay. Not only does this luxurious
hotel have a rooftop swimming pool, with a bar and absolutely stunning views… but also a well equipped gym,
a comfortable lobby, a high quality restaurant and… internet service in all rooms (unthinkable
in Cuba), this really is as good as it gets!
