5 Year Anniversary!

  

  

Today marks the five year anniversary of my blog! Yes, you heard it right... Tara's Dolce Vita has been around for five years! That was of course worth a big celebration, including a delicious chocolate cake and a dessert wine called "Asti Spumante".

Like a real birthday girl I blew out 5 candles and made a wish.... Hopefully I will be able to continue doing what I love for many years to come. Thank you all for following and supporting me!

Happy Anniversary... to me!

Today is the 4th anniversary of my blog Tara's Dolce Vita! I can't believe 4 years have passed since that very first (small) article... Thank you all for following me!

Cookies!

Delicious homemade cookies, cakes and coffee, that's what Melly's Cookie Bar has got to offer. It's a cute little shop in the heart of Amsterdam, just around the corner from Dam Square. Whenever I walk by, I can't resist buying some of these goodies... yummy!

Shown here: the lemon-poppyseed cookies and their banana cake. The owner is Argentinian... so if you're a fan of Dulce de Leche, you know where to go!

Breakfast fit for a Queen

Today I had breakfast that was fit for a (Dutch) Queen. The orange chocolates and the croissant dipped in orange chocolate were of course made for the upcoming investiture of King Willem Alexander, the first Dutch king since 1890.

Shops are going crazy preparing for the imminent celebrations... all the shop windows are decorated with orange (the colour of the Royal family, the House of Orange-Nassau) and red, white and blue (colours of the Dutch flag). Stay tuned for more orange updates!

Coffee break!

The new year is well on it's way. I'm busy, working on many different things! But sometimes you just have to take a break. A coffee break that is. And with my coffee I like to have something sweet... in this case Italian Panettone. Because I think you shouldn't be too hard on yourself in the first weeks of the year...
