Vogue Fashion's Night Out Amsterdam

The very first Vogue Fashion's Night Out in Amsterdam was a night to remember! I'd seen and followed the photos and the reports from other countries right from the start in 2009, so I was very excited when Amsterdam finally got it's own edition.

It was a night with lot's and lot's of people... long lines in front of the stores that participated (Chanel, Hugo Boss, Diesel)... loads of Champagne, various DJ's and truckloads of Avalanche roses... The longest line though was for Viktor & Rolf! People waited for 2 hours to get their picture taken together with the two famous Dutch designers.

Many stores did something special for Vogue Fashion's Night Out: they offered Champagne, cocktails and finger food; there was live music and DJ's; real models in the shop windows; discounts and collector's items. The kindest shop assistants were to be found at American Vintage, Seven for All Mankind, Zara Home and Salon Heleen Hülsmann.

The hightlights for me, were meeting fashion designer Iris van Herpen, jewelry designer Bibi van der Velden, drinking a cocktail at Momo's, digging through fabulous clothes, shoes and bags in the vintage pop-up store by Salon Heleen Hülsmann and finding a true gem: a gorgeous blue Chloé bag! And last but not least, the concert at the Bijenkorf department store by Selah Sue! (Oh... and eating French fries on the way home...)

I'm counting the days until the next Vogue Fashion's Night Out!!
