With the holiday season coming up, everybody is thinking about buying Christmas gifts, picking out party outfits, sending Season's Greetings and party invitations... and I'm thinking about setting the Christmas table!
I absolutely love creating an original and festive tablescape. Choosing the right tableware, the perfect tablecloth, matching flowers and decorations.... it's so much fun!! Here are some of my favourite table settings.
From Valentine's Day, to Easter, from the start of Spring to a Tyrolean evening, from Halloween and Dia de los Muertos to Saint Nicholas, from Christmas to New Year's Eve... there's always a reason to celebrate.
When setting the table, think out of the box. Flowers for Easter don't have to be yellow; flowers for Christmas don't have to be red and green. Don't get me wrong, I love traditional decorations and tablesettings, but sometimes a new color or a non-traditional type of centrepiece can create the wow factor.
As you can see in these photos, I once used pink flowers for Easter and a total white flower centrepiece for Christmas. It looked just as pretty, wouldn't you agree?
