Setting the table for Easter
My regular readers know that I love setting the table with my fanciest tableware, for special occasions but also on a regular monday night! For Christmas and Easter I go all out... and of course I always want to try something new (different kind of table linen, flowers, etc.).
Yesterday I came across this lovely chinaware in one of my favourite shops, Philippona. Aren't the Easter decorations and the "bunnies" serving dish adorable? Unfortunately I did not bring my photo camera, but these cell phone pics will give you an idea.
Accidentaly I also discovered an amazing Brazilian website, Vamos Receber, which is all about receiving guests and... you guessed that right, setting the table. They used a similar kind of porcelain for their Easter table as Philippona! For some inspiration, please visit: http://www.vamosreceber.com.br/pascoa/.

Easter Flowers 2014
Whether you like traditional spring flowers or exotic blooms such as orchids, you can combine them easily with classical Easter decorations. While you can never go wrong with narcissus and tulips, orchids and lilies will give your centerpiece are more modern touch.
To keep it simple, choose a colour palette that matches well with your table linen and dinnerware.

Hotel Bellevue Syrene, Sorrento, Italy
Living La Dolce Vita... that's what everybody wants, right? Preferably every day, but definitely during your holidays. Hotel Bellevue Syrene in Sorrento offers you exactly that, La Dolce Vita, trust me.
The surroundings and the views are absolutely stunning. Just pick a table under the pergola, sit back and relax. Enjoy drinks, lunch or dinner overlooking the Gulf of Naples and the Vesuvius... You can either relax in the garden, hang out by the pool, read a book in one of the lovely sitting rooms or book a beauty treatment in the hotel spa... there's too much to mention really!
Hotel Bellevue Syrene used to be a private residence. That's probably why you feel right at home. I love the way the rooms, the lounges and the restaurants are decorated! Antique chandeliers, mirrors and furniture is mixed with modern art and local sculptures, giving the place a very refined touch.
Besides the chic interiors, the exquisite service provides that home-away-from-home feeling! The staff is very kind, always there to help you. Oh and the food.... Don't get me started on the food... I had one of the best clubsandwiches ever! I know, not the first thing you'd expect in Italy. But actually everything was delicious (pasta, starters, entrées, desserts, wine, cocktails, etc.)! I can't wait to go back!
