The Antwerp Zoo is a very old and famous one, with beautiful, well kept gardens, statues, art, etc. But what a zoo is really about.... the animals..... made me very sad. The lions, elephants and giraffes have way too little space!
While a zoo can educate people about endangered species & can evoke love for exotic animals, this is really an outdated way of dealing with them. So please.... (at least) cut back some space from the gardens and make these animals a little bit happier!
