Bibi van der Velden for Vogue Fashion's Night Out

Last night I had the pleasure of meeting jewelry designer Bibi van der Velden during Vogue Fashion's Night Out! I've been a big fan of her work for a long time, so it was a dream come true. Bibi isn't "just" a jewelry designer, she actualy makes real pieces of art, that can either be worn or collected and exhibited.

During the first Dutch Vogue Fashion's Night Out fashionistas got the opportunity to get their picture taken wearing one of Bibi's "Wearable Works of Art". Her famous gold torso was probably one of the most popular pieces. Me, I tried on an earring with several exotic green feathers. What do you think?

La Maison Guerlain, Paris, France

Guerlain, the famous French perfume house, which was founded in 1828, renovated it’s exclusive boutique on the Champs-Elysées in 2005. The ‘parfumerie’ originally opened it’s doors in 1912 and was built in Art Deco style. The result of the renovation is just stunning!

The gold mosaic walls, the impressive staircase, the enormous chandelier and of course all the vintage style perfume bottles… just blew me away! Next time you visit Paris, you have to stop by!!! Move over Eiffel Tower; this could well be the next major tourist attraction...

On the first floor there is a luxurious spa, where you can get a facial, a massage, various body treatments, makeup application, etc. The store offers gift certificates as well, so gentlemen: why not spoil your sweetie by giving her a spa treatment during your romantic Parisian getaway?

I saw these ballet flats by Brazilian brand Via Uno months ago on-line... but they're not sold anywhere close to where I live... so I waited until my recent visit to Havana, Cuba... and was lucky enough to find them there (in the right size)!

A trip to Paradise...

I just came back from Cuba, a country that has stolen my heart! The beautiful colours, the Classic American cars, the exotic flowers, the birds, the lovely people, the wonderful music... rum & cigars; culture & history; salsa, jazz & reggaeton; citylife, a green countryside, as well as a stunning seaside... Cuba has it all!!! To me... it was another trip to paradise...

I Looove... Pitti Vintage

Pitti Vintage is definitely one of my favourite 'suppliers' of vintage clothes! Unfortunately the shop in Florence has been closed, but Graciela and Luigi continue to sell their wonderful collection on-line.

Pitti Vintage is specialized in cocktail dresses from the fifties, sixties and seventies, but they also sell vintage furs, purses, shoes, jewelry and even menswear!
