Happy International Women's Day

Happy International Women's Day! In Italy this Day is celebrated by giving women mimosa. Since I lived in Italy, it's one of my favourite traditions. Although flowers can't take away all the problems women are (still) facing around the world... it’s a nice gesture.

This year my heart goes out especially to the women and girls in Afghanistan... where they have literally no rights left... 

In these difficult times let's try to be nice to one another and support the women in your life.

Fall wreaths

Fall is here and so are fall wreaths! I love walking around town and spotting all those beautiful fall decorations. While a wreath might be more common for Christmas or Easter, I really like the more "laid-back" looking wreaths that you'll find in autumn. Although the last couple of years I have also seen some pretty wild Halloween and Dia de Muertos wreaths! The Dia de Muertos wreath shown here was made by garden centre De Bosrand in Wassenaar.

Summer is here

Summer is finally here! I love the colors, flowers and scent of summer. It feels like I'm being reborn. It has been a really busy winter and spring... with lots of work and unfortunately little time to dedicate to my blog. But sometimes you just gotta do what you gotta do (to pay the bills and for a better future.)

Easter Home Decor at De Bosrand

Easter is only three weeks away, so it's the right time to start decorating the house. I love Easter home decor, it's so cute! After a long winter, I always long for fresh flowers, bright colors and cute baby animals. Garden center De Bosrand in Wassenaar is my absolute favorite for Easter decoration. Their spring bouquets, centrepieces, wreaths and Easter decorations are the best! See for yourself at:
