Trend: Filled Christmas ornaments

The latest trend in Christmas decorations is transparent (glass) ornaments filled with sequins, little balls, glitter, candy and even tiny flamingoes....! How cute are these ornaments?

Catch of the Day... Matryoshka doll bag

My catch of the day is a Russian or Matryoshka doll bag. I love the colour combination, gold and black, making the bag chic, yet tongue-in-cheek! The bag combines perfectly with a total black outfit, a pair of jeans, but also looks great with a leopard print coat.

People... at Vogue Fashion's Night Out Amsterdam

The crowd during Vogue Fashion's Night Out in Amsterdam...
Fashionable
Fabulous
Frivolous?

Everybody dressed up that's for sure! My favourites are definitely the "pilot" & the "flight attendant"! Pictured here among others: fashion designer Claes Iversen, actress Victoria Koblenko and one of the designers from Belgian jewelry brand Wouters & Hendrix.

Capri, Sorrento, but also Amalfi and Positano... they have so much to offer! Not just beautiful views, great food and good wines... oh no... you can shop till you drop! And as most of you know, I love to shop. Funnily enough I also like shopping for souvenirs. Here are some of my best finds.

1. Ceramics from the area. (Sold everywhere)

Canfora Sandals, Capri, Italy

A couple of weeks ago I went to Capri, the Italian island loved by the Roman emperors and made famous by Jackie Kennedy, Grace Kelly and the European jetset in the 1950s and 1960s. Capri is breathtakingly beautiful, but has a lot more to offer than nature alone.

In fact in Capri you can shop till you drop! All the big names are present: Gucci, Chanel, Hermès, Dolce & Gabbana, you name it. If there is one souvenir you should bring home though, it's a pair of handmade sandals. And the best place to shop is without a doubt Canfora in Via Camerelle.

Amedeo Canfora opened his shop in 1946 and has been the "official supplier" to Jackie Kennedy, Maria Callas, many European royals, local and international celebrities ever since. I heard Michael Kors is a big fan.

Well, I'm a big fan too!!! The shop is tiny... but don't let that fool you! Canfora makes exquisite handmade sandals, using only the best materials, such as Italian leather and the finest Italian costume jewelry. What a joy to have your measurements taken and pick out the colours and adornments...

I could hardly wait until the package with my sandals arrived! The result is gorgeous don't you think?
