Y'am Capri

Y'am Capri is a beautiful fashion brand and store on the island of Capri. Owner Valeria de Gregorio, who was born and raised in Capri, designs everything herself. She chooses the colors, the fabrics and all the intricate details. It's the epitome of luxury if you ask me. In fact, her (jet-set) clients travel to Capri from all over the world. 

The flagship store in Capri is tiny, but packed to the max with gorgeous pieces. I always feel like a kid in a candy store when I'm there! Valeria sells her famous Hellenuccia bags, jewelry, luxury resort wear and everything in between. She uses handmade techniques, local artisans and sustainable fabrics to produce her clothing line.

But besides the beautiful clothes and accessories, it's Valeria's hospitality that is unmatched! Last time I was there, she and her mother insisted on getting a cup of coffee for me (at the nearest bar). They were so sweet!! I have to say, in this day and age I prefer shopping at small, local shops, rather than spending my money at big international chains.

Whenever I'm wearing my Hellenuccia bag, it always transports me back to Capri! It reminds me of my wonderful holiday, of this beautiful island, of Italy, of Valeria and her lovely shop. And the funny thing is, I always get so many compliments from men and women, young and older people, fashionistas, etc. Y'am Capri has a universal appeal.

I Looove... Blue & White

I absolutely looove the combination blue and white! Especially in summer it's one of my favourite fashion color combos. Whether it's a nautical outfit (with a striped top), or a blue and white flower print... casual or all dressed up... summer or winter... a dress or a jeans, you can't go wrong with blue and white.

A Borsalino hat and a Yam Capri bag make my outfit complete!

I Looove... the Little White Dress

Finally... summer is here! And what better way to celebrate than by wearing a Little White Dress (LWD)? The LWD is of course the equivalent of the Little Black Dress that is mostly worn in winter. I have to admit I love both. And I actually own several LWDs and LBDs. You can dress it up or down, wear it with sneakers or high heels.

Last summer I bougth two new Little White Dresses, but because of the lockdown, I had little opportunity to wear them.
Now summer is back and so am I!

It's almost Valentine's Day... so it got me thinking... what am I going to wear? Hearts and heart prints are always a good idea for Valentine's, don't you think? I Looove... Sequins

I just love sequins! If you ask me, palm trees equal vacation, sequins equal party. Although I also love to wear sequins in daily life, when there is no party at all. It cheers me up right away. I'm already counting the days until Christmas and New Year's Eve, when it's socially accepted to walk around in sequins all day ;-)
