Eudia Fall/Winter Collection 2016-17

Eudia, the Dutch hat brand by milliner Evelien Gentis-Smit, is not only very tempting for women... but also for men! I love the men's hats that Evelien designed for fall/winter 2016-2017! They're traditional but also very cool. The same can be said about the (advertising) campaign that features her brother-in-law as a model. Oh.. and her husband Philip Gentis is the photographer. Talking about a family business!

Six and Sons, Amsterdam, The Netherlands

With Father's Day coming up, I went out looking for some nice “masculine” gifts. Six and Sons in Amsterdam turned out to be the perfect spot! They have everything for the modern and oldfashioned dad. From mirrored sunglasses to good old shaving supplies, from backpacks to "sailor tattoo" chinaware… it will be impossibile to walk out of this amazing store without any gift for your dad!

By the way, I'm sure your boyfriend / husband / brother / colleague won’t mind either getting one of these hand-picked goodies. In fact, Six and Sons is a concept store that can satisfy every taste. Oh and Ladies, you can spoil yourself with some lovely lingerie by Love Stories or borrow from the boys... and buy an anchor print t-shirt by La Paz, palmtree socks by Royalties or a beautiful watch by Rosefield!

I fell in love with the antique furniture, the "sailor tattoo" dinnerware from By Mutti and the vintage accessories displayed throughout the store. It's like strolling through an antiques market... but here the work has already been done for you... all you have to do is choose!

Camouflage is back!

Camouflage prints are back! For men, for women, in casualwear, in classical menswear, in shoes... camouflage is everywhere. Of course the fashion scene is always one step ahead of the crowd... so be prepared for next summer... and buy a camouflage accessory or -for the more daring ones among you- a camouflage print jacket as soon as you can!

Menswear... as good as it gets!

Italians as well Englishmen have always been known for their great sartorial skills and style. That was until the Asian invasion... now we can easily add the Japanese to the best dressed men on the planet.

Classic dressing is back. Double breasted jackets, suspenders, bow ties, Panama hats and more. A bit like men's fashion in the "Roaring Twenties". This time around though, personality should be added to the mix.

All the überstylish men shown here, were visitors of Pitti Uomo 84, the place to be for the fashion crowd as well as all the major streetstyle photographers (The Sartorialist, Tommy Ton, Nam, Guerre, etc.).

People... The New Dandy

The new dandy as spotted in Florence during the Pitti Uomo trade show... Last summer I visited this überstylish event, where you can find the crème de la crème of global menswear. At a certain point I noticed  a new trend... jeans and casual wear mixed with extremely traditonal items such as waistcoats, suspenders, knitted ties, bow ties and Panama hats. Of course, these gentlemen have an eye for stylish combinations... but what sets them apart is their confidence. So guys, you know what you'll have to wear this summer!
