You guys know I love "La Dolce Vita"! Italians really know how to turn an everyday situation into a party. Especially when it comes to pre-dinner drinks and appetizers... I mean, it doesn't get much better than this! The cherry on the cake is the name.... ""aperitivo".

La Dolce Vita is... watching the sunset in Cartagena

La Dolce Vita is watching the sunset in Cartagena de Indias, Colombia. This wonderful city is surrounded practically everywhere by the sea. The Caribbean Sea to be precise. Every day tourists and locals alike flock to the ancient city walls to watch the sunset, which is just magical.... Please take me back!

The best spots to watch the sunset are "Cafe del Mar" at Baluarte de Santo Domingo and "El Baluarte de San Francisco Javier", in front of the Hotel Charleston Santa Teresa. (Or you can just sit down anywhere on the old city walls.)

La Dolce Vita is... Sitting on the Dock of the Bay

La Dolce Vita is sitting on the dock of the bay and watching the ships pass by! Just sitting there is so relaxing! Of course I don't mind having a glass of wine with it... and some good food.

La Dolce Vita is drinking a glass (or bottle!) of Moët & Chandon Ice Impérial on the beach! It's special, delicious and refreshing. You can totally adapt it to suit your own taste, by adding either sweet fruit like strawberries and raspberries or giving it an edge with some lime zest and mint leaves. Perfect on a hot summer day!

La Dolce Vita is... a boat trip to the Blue Grotto, Capri

La Dolce Vita is a boat trip to the Blue Grotto (in italian: Grotta Azzurra) in Capri, Italy! It might take a while to actually get in, because there are always many boats waiting in line, oh well in line... waiting for their turn. But as you can see in these pictures, the water is in fact breathtakingly beautiful, the same can be said about the Blue Grotto itself! Magical don't you think?

La Dolce Vita is a bunch of fresh flowers! I love flowers and especially these gorgeous roses from Ecuador. They match my sunglasses, sandals and straw tote quite well, don't you think? A perfect start to a sunny weekend.

La Dolce Vita is... breakfast with a view

La Dolce Vita is... breakfast with a view from top of the Hotel Sevilla in Havana! Really, the (almost) 360º view from the rooftop restaurant is so spectacular, I didn't want to leave, like ever!

Havana is so big, colourful, culturally diverse... it's overwhelming. Of course it's not just gold that glitters... many beautiful buildings are on the verge of collapsing... not to mention the poverty of the people living in them.
