This year I spent New Year's Eve in Orvieto, Italy. It's a beautiful town all year long, but during the Holiday Season and the Umbria Jazz Winter festival it's extra special. The Christmas trees, Christmas decorations and holiday lights turn this medieval town into a romantic hideaway!
Orvieto is filled with cute little stores, cosy bars and good restaurants. Just add wonderful music by Umbria Jazz and you never want to leave. In case you want to celebrate New Year's Eve in Orvieto, make sure you book way in advance, because it's very popular and hotels (and restaurants) tend to be fully booked.
