Easter table inspiration

Easter is only three weeks away…. so I have started decorating the house! Although it's still very uncertain how and when we will be able to celebrate (because of the coronavirus crisis), I am already thinking about this year's Easter table setting.

How about you? Have you started decorating the house yet? In case you haven't, here's some Easter table inspiration. Traditionally most people use white and yellow flowers and Easter decorations to set the table, but as you can see, pink or multicolor flowers work just as well! The same goes for multicolored tableware.

Happy International Women's Day

Today is International Women's Day, did you know the reason for this celebration is to commemorate the murder of 129 women, who were set on fire inside a textile factory in New York in 1908? We have come a long way since then! I wish all my female readers a wonderful day!

Longing for Spring...

Are you longing for spring as much as I am? The weather is still so cold, windy and cloudy…. I can not wait for the days to grow longer, for the sun to come out and for the flowers to bloom! Until the moment comes, these tulips, scented candles and fruity earrings will give me that spring feeling.

Nina Peñuela store, Casco Viejo, Panama

Nina Peñuela is without a doubt the coolest store in Panama! Nina Peñuela has two branches, one in Casco Viejo and one in Panama city (the modern part). I absolutely loved the Casco Viejo store, which opened in december 2019.

Coming across the Nina Peñuela shop in Casco Viejo was like a dream come true… I saw beautiful handmade earrings, jeweled handbags, Wayuu "mochila" bags (which you can even customize), pretty sun dresses, colourful silk blouses, decorated panama hats, adorned mule loafers.... it's just too much to mention!

Frida Kahlo fans will love the store. There are several handbags and earrings inspired by the famous Mexican painter. The overall vibe is colourful and tropical. Quite honestly I didn't know where to look.... I wanted to buy everything. Nina Peñuela is one more reason to visit Panama city!

Cuter than cute Cartagena

I just got back from an amazing trip to one of my favorite holiday destinations... Cartagena de Indias in Colombia. The colonial architecture, the colourful houses (and doors!), the extremely tasteful interiors, the shops, the music, the food, the cocktails, the sunsets…. it's just incredible! Cuter than cute and pure eye candy!!!
