ByDanie Designer Vintage store, Amsterdam

Sometimes magic happens... You walk into a store and you want to have it all. The Missoni dress, the Chanel jacket, the Dior top, the Hermès bag, the Louboutins, the cute friendship bracelets, even the flowers and the furniture... that's what happened when I entered the ByDanie Designer Vintage store in Amsterdam.

It's a tiny little shop in one of the nicest neighbourhoods in town. So it was no surprise to run into local celebrities, as well as old friends. And guess what? I walked out with a very nice purchase: a silk leopard print top by Christian Dior!!! And a couple of those lovely bracelets of course... irresistible!

Foreign visitors might not know Danie Bles, but when I tell you that she dresses almost all the Dutch it-girls, TV personalities, models, etc... I'm sure you'll want to be part of the clan. You might just buy one of their pre-owned items. And believe me, that's a good thing. (They won't wear that sexy dress again after they've been in all the tabloids...)

By the way, you can break the bank if you choose to do so, but it's not necessary. ByDanie sells high street fashion brands alongside couture. Next time you're in Amsterdam, make sure you stop by!

More of... Sol Beach, Scheveningen

One of the golden oldies along the Dutch coast is Sol Beach. Their winning formula? A laid back mood, good service, no fuss, no hype, no hipsters! In fact it's so laid back... you either love it or you hate it.

But even if the atmosphere and decor are not your style (no shades of grey here), you should give Sol Beach the benefit of the doubt, if only just to try their sangria and BBQ.

Catch of the Day... vintage plates & brooches!

What do you think of my Catch of the Day? This time I bought some lovely vintage brooches, in the form of a flower and a butterfly and a set of vintage dessert plates. I absolutely love antiques markets... you always find something you really "need"!

Vintage plates and brooches bought at the Lange Voorhout Antiques Market in The Hague, The Netherlands.

Cappuccino, Muffin and Vogue

Goodmorning everybody!!! I hope you'll have a wonderful day!
I started the day off well, very well I must say... with a lemon poppy seed muffin and a cappuccino by Starbucks and a fresh new (British) Vogue. Sometimes you just have to spoil yourself, right?

Como un Pez en el Agua, SS13 collection

If you're a fan of vintage fashion and you're still looking for a new bathing suit... why not try one of these bikinis by Spanish brand Como un Pez en el Agua? The majority of the bikinis is strapless, that means no awkward tanning lines!

And probably just as important.... no fashion twins on the beach! Como un Pez en el Agua uses vintage fabrics from all over the world, so you won't see another girl wearing "your" bikini any time soon.
